Our Hawaii Land Blog reports:
Senate Bill 2927 has gone to conference committee. This is what Occupy Honolulu Hale has to say about it:
HAWAII STATE CAPITOL IS BURNING ~ RULES ARE FOR LITTLE PEOPLE.
SB2927 allows a small elite group of contractors and developers to do as they please. It’s also a Trojan Horse that allows runaway development all over the islands. Respect the laws and follow the rules. No one should be above or exempted from the laws.
Sen. Donovan Dela Cruz, who sponsored the bill, doesn’t agree. He’s argued that the bill is important for curtailing urban sprawl and promoting wise development.
