Today’s the first day of work for new HART CEO Dan Grabauskas.

The former Massachusetts transit chief was confirmed last month and takes over the Honolulu project from Toru Hamayasu, who’s staying on in a senior leadership position. That’s the two of them standing together next to Sen. Daniel Inouye in Washington recently.

I’ll have an interview with Grabauskas soon. Until then you can read Civil Beat‘s detailed coverage of his background and challenges:

What it means to support Civil Beat.

Supporting Civil Beat means you’re investing in a newsroom that can devote months to investigate corruption. It means we can cover vulnerable, overlooked communities because those stories matter. And, it means we serve you. And only you.
