Last week, a quarry in Kailua was named as the new landfill site. Not surprisingly, politicians lined up to criticize the proposal and downplay the weight of the landfill committee’s “recommendations.”
The Mayor’s landfill site selection committee just sent out a media advisory announcing “a revised list” will be issued. They’re having a press conference to explain the problem this afternoon. Check Inside Honolulu for more details.
