I just got off the phone with the Department of Environmental Services, and can tell you that there won’t be a new landfill site selected this week.

The mayor’s blue ribbon panel had tentatively scheduled a meeting for Thursday morning, but it turns out they couldn’t pull everything together fast enough. An early clue was that no agenda was posted online.

As of this moment, next week is looking like a possibility, but there’s nothing set yet. I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know when something’s on the calendar.
