Ever since rains caused three sewage overflows last month, Civil Beat‘s been asking for historical data so we could see if there’s a trend.
Turns out there is, and it’s not good. More gallons of raw sewage have been flowing into Honolulu’s streams in the last couple of years than the couple of years before that.
Sophie Cocke got the numbers from the Environmental Services Department, and has a big story up on the site today.
