Starting at 9 a.m. today at Kapolei Hale, the Honolulu City Council will honor the following individuals and groups:

  • The Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce and the 60th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival Pageant Queen and Her Court — Queen Erin Morimoto, First Princess Edrea Katsunuma, Princess Nicole Kinney, Princess Cari Tasoe, Princess Tomomi Ida, Miss Congeniality Heather Smith and Miss Popularity Teri Nakakura
  • Manana School Chorus “Na Keiki ‘O Manana” — For 35 Years Of Spreading The Joy Of Music To The People In Hawai‘i And Beyond Our Shores
  • The Sophomore Class of Roosevelt High School — For Their Dedication and Generous Service Benefiting The Institute for Human Services (IHS)
  • Ringo Manu and Leo Salavea — For Their Prompt and Heroic Lifesaving Actions
  • Briana Garrido — For Her Exemplary Reign as Miss Hawaii’s Outstanding Teen 2011
