I know I’ve been talking about its contents for days, but just in case you’re waking up today and wondering what’s on the agenda for the Honolulu City Council meeting at 10 a.m. in Kapolei — here it is.
The juiciest items:
- Bill 10 — Regulating the use of nonbiodegradable plastic bags and certain other bags provided to customers.
- Bill 37 — Amending the authorization for the City and County of Honolulu to issue general obligation commercial paper in order to clarify and facilitate the use of such debt.
- Bill 41 — Relating to real property taxes for credit unions.
- Resolution 12-82 — Approving the granting of three perpetual non-exclusive subsurface easements within the City’s downtown streets for the distribution of chilled water and seawater for Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning, LLC.
Starting at 2 p.m., the council is scheduled to start public hearings on all of the various budget bills and the one setting real property tax rates. Major revisions are likely to happen in committee, but it’s worth keeping an eye on today as well.
