More than 3,000 dolphins have been found dead on Peruvian beaches this year, the Huffington Post reports.
But scientists aren’t sure why. Some of the theories include: powerful waves caused by oil exploration ships; toxic fish; underwater sonic testing by the military; and dolphin hunting.
But so far evidence is lacking.
