Criticism of Ted Yamamura, one of Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s appointees to the water commission isn’t letting up.

Opponents of his appointment say he lacks the qualifications to serve on the commission, which requires having “significant experience in water resource management.”

This video has been circulating among lawmakers, environmentalists and lawyers with expertise in Hawaii water rights. It includes clips of a recent hearing in front of the Senate Water, Land and Housing Committee. The committee approved Yamamura’s nomination earlier this month, as well as that of Jonathan Starr, who was also recently nominated by Abercrombie. Both face a full confirmation vote by the Senate today.

The video’s producer is unnamed.
