Yamamura and Starr Pass Senate Confirmation Hearing

After nearly three hours of hearings and debate, both of Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s nominees to the politically-charged water commission were approved by the Senate Water, Land and Housing Committee. 

Ted Yamamura and Jonathan Starr must now be confirmed by a vote of the full Senate. 

Sen. Carol Fukunaga was the only dissenting vote – opposing Yamamura’s appointment.
