Takata filed his nomination papers April 10, and will face incumbent Keith Kaneshiro.
Takata said he’s part of the Criminal Justice Division at the AG’s office and is coming off the successful prosecutor of a former public school secretary for stealing nearly $15,000. He was a deputy prosecuting attorney for 23 years.
UPDATE: Franklin “Don” Pacarro, who lost to Kaneshiro in the 2010 election, is listed as Takata’s campaign chair in an organizational filing with the Campaign Spending Commission.
