We had previously reported that House BIll 2681 — which would give DLNR conservation officers a five-year break from meeting “enforcement accreditation or recognition standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies” for use of electric guns — was dead.
Indeed, it did not make it out of conference committee.
But, on Tuesday (May 1), the House reconsidered its disagreements with the Senate over the bill.
The Taser bill is now alive and awaiting a final vote today (Thursday, May 3).
