Wild story from KITV today. Our television partners report that a 23-year Honolulu Fire Department veteran is suing because he says his free speech and whistleblower rights were violated in the wake of a deadly blaze.

Fire Captain George Kaopuiki is asking for unspecified damages and says the fatality could have been avoided if HFD had not made several critical operational errors.
