We couldn’t resist sharing this one: Rep. Colleen Hanabusa‘s re-election campaign sent out a fundraising plea on Thursday that was written from the perspective of her dog, Little Hanabusa.

An excerpt: “Sometimes I need to take matters into my own paws, and here’s why: tomorrow is Colleen’s birthday! I’m going to keep this brief (typing with paws is harder than you’d think). Tomorrow, May 4, is a special day for me and everyone else who cares about Colleen. I want to show her the love she deserves, and I need your help… Trust me when I say that Colleen works like a dog for us in Washington.

Hanabusa’s affection for her border collie is well documented. The congresswoman once told DC808 that she has been boycotting movie theaters for years “as a matter of protest” since Little is not allowed inside. According to the Humane Society’s Flickr account, Hanabusa stopped video-Skyping with Little from Washington when her husband said the dog “drooled all over his computer.”
