Adult graduates from Oahu’s Community Schools and their star teachers will be honored Wednesday evening at the Blaisdell concert hall. 

Some 400 graduates attending six schools for adults will partake in the commencement exercises.

Statewide, almost 2,000 adults at 11 schools earned the equivalent of a high school diploma this year.

The Hawaii Adult Education Teachers of the Year will also be recognized. The honorees include Lisa Man, Tricia Beaman, Bernard Peterson, Sheri Sakamoto-Horn, Lawrence Ujimori and Francis Mau.
