The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday (May 17) approved a resolution “stressing the importance of keeping Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.”

The Hill has this report on the vote, which was 401-11. Mazie Hirono and Colleen Hanabusa voted in the majority.

Excerpt:

Earlier in the day, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said the resolution might alter U.S. negotiations with Iran later this month, and would make it harder for the United States to achieve a diplomatic solution.
