UPDATE: I had wondered earlier in this blog stream whether there were restrictions on House members who use their laptops and iPads during floor session.
A helpful House Democrat — who was reading Civil Beat’s blog during session and saw my query — texted me to explain that there are no rules governing laptop use “within reason.”
Obviously, there can’t be any campaign-related business conducted, said the lawmaker.
“But most people use them to follow along the Order of the Day, do research to rebut in debate, keep contact with their offices and watch the other chamber on Olelo’s live stream,” said the lawmaker.
