Senate May Revive Undersea Cable Bill

Capitol Watch reports:

The state Senate will bring to the floor Senate Bill 2785 — the undersea cable bill — today (Tuesday, May 1).

Word is that the Senate will agree to the House amendments on the controversial measure. If senators agree to so, a final vote will happen Thursday.

Expect environmentalists, folks on Molokai and Lanai and others opposed to SB 2785 to lobby like crazy against the bill.
