Three Hawaii health centers will be able to use more than $10 million to serve an additional 9,000 patients, members of the state’s Congressional delegation announced on Tuesday evening.

Here’s how the money will be divvied up:

• $5 million for the West Hawaii Community Health Center

• Nearly $5 million for Malama I Ke Ola Health Center

• About $500,000 for the Hilo Bay Clinic

The money is part of the Obama administration’s sweeping health care reform, and will provide $9.5 billion to expand services over a five-year period, according to an information sheet issued by Sen. Daniel Inouye‘s office.
