Firefighters are having a tough time containing a brush fire in Waianae. The fire’s threatening homes and forcing residents to evacuate for a second day.
KITV reports:
Residents along Haleahi Road are being asked to evacuate for a second day in a row, according to fire officials.
Honolulu police are also asking that residents of Waianae Valley, especially Kuwale and Haleahi Roads, to remain clear of the area so firefighters can continue operations.
As of 1 p.m., there are no homes in danger. But, residents should remain cautious until this fire is brought under control and extinguished.
