Case Won’t Attend Democratic National Convention

As DC808 reported yesterday, former Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle is skipping the Republican National Convention this year. 

Fellow Senate candidate Ed Case is skipping his party’s convention, too. The Democratic National Convention kicks off on Sept. 4 in North Carolina. That’s after the Hawaii primary election, but before the general election. 

“I’ll either be in the midst of an intense general election campaign or back earning a living in the real world,” Case told us in an email. 

Still no word back from Democratic Rep. Mazie Hirono‘s campaign on whether she plans to attend. Hirono has made some appearances with national Dems, though. We spotted her at Netroots Nation in Rhode Island earlier this month.
