What should Honolulu’s auditor dig into next year?
Edwin Young sent his work plan to the Honolulu City Council last week, and two members have already made some suggestions for what should be added to the list.
- Tulsi Gabbard wants an audit of HART‘s public relations and public involvement spending, according to a resolution she introduced Tuesday. Young already indicated he’d be looking into HART’s expenditures and operations.
- Ann Kobayashi wants an audit of the Department of Environmental Services‘ sewer contracts and procurement practices. She’s still displeased with the mayor’s decision to move forward on the Sand Island second digester.
Both resolutions are on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Budget Committee.
