Fire fighters are battling a new brush fire in Waianae Valley. That brings the number of active fires on Oahu to five.
KITV reports the fire is near Piliuka Place and Waianae Valley Road:
It is not known large the brush fire is or if it is threatening property.
Fire crews on Oahu had already been dealing with a brush fire near Kunia Road and near Makua Caves on Thursday, in addition to monitoring the two other brush fires in Waianae.
On Wednesday, crews had contained another Waianae Valley fire that had been burning for days, scorching 1,200 acres and threatening homes.
