Gov. Neil Abercrombie on Friday (June 8) will sign Senate Bill 2804 — which establishes into law and introduce a new coordinator on homelessness to replace Marc Alexander.

Alexander resigned for “personal reasons” earlier this year.

Senate Bill 2804 establishes the Hawaii Interagency Council on Homelessness under the Department of Human Services.

The news conference is set for 12:30 p.m. in the Ceremonial Room on the fifth floor of the state Capitol.
