Keynote Speakers Announced for 2012 Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Expo

  • Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz, who Civil Beat has ordained Hawaii’s energy ambassador.
  • Kurt Tong, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. State Dept.
  • Yutaka Saito, President and CEO of Infrastructure Group & Co., Hitachi Ltd.
  • Hideo Hato, President of New Energy & Industrial Tech Development Org., Japan
  • Jooho Whang, President, Korea Institute of Energy Research

Keynote speakers for last year’s Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit included members of the board of Kuokoa:  James Woolsey and TJ Glauthier.  The start-up company announced its intentions more than a year ago to take over HECO.

This year’s conference, which will include dozens of energy companies locally and from around the world, will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center from Aug. 13 – 15.
