UPDATE: Lee was responding to an attack Tuesday (June 5) by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which argued that Lingle had “a long record opposing equal pay measures.” Read the DSCC press release.
The issue was raised in light of the blocking of the Paycheck Fairness Act by Senate Republicans this week.
In his rebuttal, Lee defended Lingle’s record and cited Lingle’s past positions to support his case.
Quote from Lee:
(Mazie) Hirono and the DSCC’s latest attempted hit piece has nothing to do with equal pay and everything to do with Hirono and her political operatives trying to score political points. Unlike Hirono, Governor Linda Lingle does not engage in political gamesmanship.
