Bob Lee, campaign manager for U.S. Senate candidate Linda Lingle, issued a press release Wednesday (June 6) defending Lingle’s record regarding equal pay for women while she was Hawaii governor.

UPDATE: Lee was responding to an attack Tuesday (June 5) by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which argued that Lingle had “a long record opposing equal pay measures.” Read the DSCC press release.

The issue was raised in light of the blocking of the Paycheck Fairness Act by Senate Republicans this week.

In his rebuttal, Lee defended Lingle’s record and cited Lingle’s past positions to support his case.
