Pine Holds First, Schedules Second Fundraiser

State Rep. Kym Pine‘s campaign for Honolulu City Council held its first fundraiser last night at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, asking donors for $500 to $2,000 apiece, according to a filing yesterday with the Campaign Spending Commission.

The second fundraiser’s not far behind. It’s set for next week Wednesday at Kapolei Golf Course. This time, the ask is $50-$100, according to a filing.

Pine’s fundraiser Tuesday wasn’t just her first. It was also the first in the race. None of her opponents for the District 1 race have yet held any fundraisers asking for more than the minimum donation ($25), according to the CSC. Incumbent Tom Berg scheduled one in February but then canceled it.
