Sierra Club To Back Rail Project?

Interesting report last night from Keoki Kerr of Hawaii News Now revealing that the Sierra Club is about to come in on the pro-rail side of a major political debate just a month before the primary election.

It’s not a total shocker considering that the Sierra Club nationally has favored rail transit. But the timing is significant. Will the environmental organization start spending money to pump up rail or tear down Ben Cayetano?

That remains to be seen. Robert Harris told Kerr an announcement could be coming next week.
