Maritime war games off Oahu’s shores will shut down Bellows Beach on the island’s windward side from July 15-17 and from July 27-29.
The closure, which includes a ban on camping and day use, is part of the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) warfare exercises.
According to the city, the closure is for public safety. City camping permits for Bellows Beach will be issued the weekend of July 20-22.
