Bus Rapid Transit Gets Money in Jersey

Honolulu isn’t the only place where bus rapid transit is being talked about.

In New Jersey, the transit authority will get $2.6 million from the federal government to move forward with its own BRT plan to link the state to Philadelphia.

Former Gov. Ben Cayetano, who is running for Honolulu mayor, is pushing to kill the city’s $5.2 billion rail project and implement bus rapid transit instead.
