Peter Carlisle is the first mayoral candidate to post his campaign finance reports covering the first half of 2012.
Carlisle raised $198,000 and spent $249,000 in the six months ending June 30, according to his filing. That leaves him with $246,000 cash on hand, right on line with where he was at this stage two years ago. He had $248,000 cash on hand as of July 1, 2010, about 11 weeks before he bested Kirk Caldwell despite a sizable financial disadvantage.
Carlisle held three fundraisers between Jan. 1 and June 30 this year and has two more on his calendar between now and the Aug. 11 primary. He raised just $53,000 in the second half of 2011, opening the door in the mayor’s race.
Caldwell and Ben Cayetano have yet to file. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
