Kobayashi sent a letter this week to Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation Executive Director Dan Grabauskas this week saying she wanted to know whether there are any long-term contracts for workers to use local hotels for housing.
You can read Kobayashi’s letter here.
Kobayashi, who is an opponent of the city’s $5.2 billion rail project, has been a constant critic of HART.
Most recently she was one of several council members who called for an audit of public relations spending on the project.
The full council approved that request for an audit last week.
