Chaminade University has hired Ed Teixeira, former vice director of Hawaii State Civil Defense, as professor in residence to lead the Homeland Security Leadership Development track — described as “a nationally recognized program and the only educational series of its kind in Hawaii.”
Teixeira, who resigned his government post over differences with the Abercrombie administration last year, “will augment the expertise offered by Chaminade’s criminal justice graduate program.”
Teixeira taught courses at Chaminade as an adjunct instructor specializing in history and political science courses on Japan, China and Hawaii.
