Hawaii News Now reports:
Hawaii County councilman Dennis “Fresh” Onishi told Hawaii News Now that as of 7:55 a.m., the polling place at Kahakai Elementary School in Kona was still not open, reportedly because voter log books had not arrived. According to Onishi, some potential voters were leaving.
Onishi also said there were two other polling places in the Kona area that were also having problems.
Another voter said there were problems a new polling place at Kona Vistas when ballots failed to show up.
According to the Hawaii County Clerk, ”supply issue” kept all but one poll from opening by 8:30 a.m. The last unopened polling station was open by 9 a.m.
