Kawika Crowley, candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, will hold his first-ever press conference at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 29) on the steps of the sate building in downtown Hilo.

He will announce the kickoff of his “Walking the Islands” campaign, which begins in Hilo followed by “various points across the Big Island in a four day sign waving marathon.”

Of his opponent, Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, the GOP candidate said in a press release, ”Once the neighbor island folks see the stark differences between us on various issues, from Rail, Same Sex Marriage, to Obama Care I have no doubt  that I will have a good shot at an upset win.”
