The Abercrombie administration has released more than $16.9 million for capital improvement projects and $3 million for grants-in-aidFunds for priority projects and grants were identified by members of the state Legislature

The CIP work includes $3 million for Waiakea High School, $2.3 million for Kahuku High and Intermediate School, $1.8 million for Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii, $1.2 million for Aloha Stadium and $347,561 for Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Grants-in-aid include $2 million for Public Broadcasting System Hawaii and $160,000 for the USS Missouri Memorial Association.
