Hilo pot minister Roger Christie was denied bail on Tuesday afternoon by U.S. District Court Judge Leslie Kobayashi. 

It was his 6th request for bail. 

He’s been imprisoned in the federal detention center in Honolulu for two years. He’s charged with possession, manufacturing and distributing marijuana, which is a schedule I drug.

Christie’s attorney, Thomas Otake, said his client was “obviously disappointed.” No deicsion has been made on an appeal.

Christie is scheduled to go on trial in January.
