Election coverage on INSIGHTS continues with forums for two Oahu representative races in districts affected by the state’s reapportionment plan. Newly formed House District 26 includes Downtown Honolulu, Kakaako, Ala Moana and parts of McCully and Makiki. Candidates scheduled for this forum are: former Board of Education first vice chair Lei Ahu Isa; former House committee clerk Ryan Kapuniai; and District 22 (Waikiki) incumbent Scott Saiki.
The show’s second half will be a candidates’ forum for House District 33 (Aiea/Halawa/Waimalu). Incumbent Heather Giugni and challenger K. Mark Takai, incumbent of neighboring District 34 (Pearl City), are scheduled to appear.
