Former Gov. Ben Cayetano plans to reveal his plan Thursday for lightening the traffic load on Oahu’s roads.
It’s a major part of this Honolulu mayoral platform since he is an anti-rail candidate running against Kirk Caldwell, who supports the contentious $5.26 billion project.
Much of Cayetano’s plan will involve bus rapid transit, an idea he’s been pushing for some time now.
We’ll have to wait and see whether there’s anything groundbreaking in his presentation to the media.
Cayetano also plans to host a series of community forums to explain his “enhanced” BRT plan.
