The Abercrombie administration Wednesday (Sept. 12) ordered all Hawaii flags at all state offices and agencies as well as the Hawaii National Guard to be flown at half-staff alongside U.S. flags today until Sept. 16 (Sunday) as directed by President Barack Obama.
The flag lowering proclamation is in honor of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and American personnel that were killed yesterday (Sept. 11) in an attack at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
