Remember that video of Mazie Hirono and Don Young acting chummy and talking about bipartisan compromise during the run-up to the primary election?

Politico does, and has named the spot one of the 25 most unforgettable campaign ads of the year.

Here’s the blurb:

Rep. Mazie Hirono, a Hawaii Democrat running for Senate, gets an endorsement from long-time Alaska GOP Rep. Don Young in this ad, continuing an alliance between politicians from the country’s two non-contiguous states. Hirono says she bucked her party leadership to work on a bill’s passage with Young, and the Alaskan chimes in: “It’s true. I watched Mazie do it. And let me tell you, that Nancy Pelosi is one stubborn…” “Don, what’d I tell you?” Hirono interjects, grabbing Young’s arm. (The video has since been set to private on YouTube.)
