Honolulu Police Back Down On Facebook Policy

The Honolulu Police Department has changed its mind about restricting some posts to its Facebook page, according to a report from KITV News.

The HPD was facing a federal lawsuit filed by a couple of posters affiliated with the pro-gun rights Hawaii Defense Foundation whose posts were deleted by an officer moderating the site. Now the agency will not restrict posts so a federal judge says the lawsuit is moot.
