Honolulu has been ranked as one of the nation’s 100 Best places for young people.
According to a city and county of Honolulu press release, the distinction as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People comes from America’s Promise Alliance.
Here’s a link for an explanation on the award. Honolulu has been been named as one of the 100 best five times.
Mayor Peter Carlise even issued a statement:
“We are proud to be one of the nation’s 100 Best Communities for Young People,” he said. “This award recognizes the hard work of many community members who have contributed to making a difference in the lives of our young people. It reinforces our belief that a focus on youth pays dividends to the entire community.”
