Kauai County Council Says No to PLDC

The Kauai County Council has unanimously voted to repeal the embattled Public Land Development Corporation.

This according to tweets from The Hawaii Independent. 

Editor Ikaika Hussey writes: “Just heard from Ray Catania on Kauai that their county council has passed a reso calling for PLDC repeal.”

The county resolution doesn’t have any teeth, but it sends a clear political signal to the governor and state Ledge. Some state lawmakers have already vowed to work for Act 55’s repeal this upcoming session.
