Tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 4) in Charlotte, NC at the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC) the Democratic Party added support for Marriage Equality to their national platform. The platform also calls for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). …
“With so much at stake in this election not only for the LGBT community but for every minority, it is so great to know that National Democratic Party supports justice and equality,” said Michael Golojuch, Jr., chair of the GLBT Caucus and National Delegate, “This was shown not only with adding support of marriage equality to the national platform but with election of LGBT delegates from every state in the union. … “
A majority of the entire Hawaii delegation wore braided rainbow lei in support of adding marriage equality to the national platform. …
