Medical students treated patients at Oahu homeless shelters 7,600 over the past six years since the HOME Project was launched at UH’s John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Nearly 450 medical students at various stages of their medical education have volunteered to be part of the program since 2006. They help uninsured and unemployed kids and adults at mobile medical clinics around the island.
