The work will mean overnight closures for nearby freeway exits between Nov. 1 and Nov. 4. A large chunk of the pedestrian overpass collapsed after being hit by a truck.

Engineers determined that the piece that fell is structurally sound so it will be put back in place. 
…The bonus is that work is expected to be complete by Nov. 8 and before the next UH football game at Aloha Stadium, so people who park in the area will be able to use the bridge.
