Gov. Neil Abercrombie has ordered all national and state flags at all state offices and agencies as well as the Hawaii National Guard be flown at half-staff as directed by President Barack Obama from sunrise to sunset on Oct. 16 (Tuesday).
Obama made the Presidential Proclamation “as a mark of respect for the memory of Arlen Specter” who passed away on Sunday at the age of 82. The former Pennsylvania Senator was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1980 and served for 30 years.
