This week’s Honolulu City Council meeting was Romy Cachola’s last.
Cachola narrowly won a seat in the state House during the Aug. 11 primary, beating out newcomer Nicole Velasco.

Cachola’s official last day will be Oct. 31. Here’s his letter of resignation.
