Six more schools made the cut after successfully appealing their “not met” preliminary status when the results were announced July 17. They are Kalani High, Pahoa High and Intermediate, Mokapu Elementary, Sunset Beatch Elementary, waters of Life Public Charter School and West Hawaii Explorations Academy, according to the Hawaii DOE.
The final No Child Left Behind status for School Year 2012-13 finds 140 schools in “Good Standing” (49%), 33 in “School Improvement” (12%), 19 in “Corrective Action” (7%), 11 in “Planning for Restructuring” (4%), and 83 in “Restructuring” (29%). Total percentages may not be exactly 100% due to rounding.
